The ground rules, in plain words
Effective October 18, 2026
About these terms
These terms apply to everyone who uses MealKind: families, friends who cook, and anyone using MealKind Everyday. By using MealKind you agree to them.
MealKind is run from San Antonio, Texas. Questions: hello@mealkind.com.
Not medical advice
MealKind gives general food and wellbeing information. It is not medical advice and does not replace a doctor, nurse or dietitian. Always follow the instructions of the care team. In an emergency, call 911.
Food allergies and food safety
Recipes are matched to the allergies and diet the family enters, but MealKind cannot check what goes into each dish. The person cooking is responsible for reading every label, avoiding cross-contact and handling food safely. Families should tell cooks about any allergy, even if it is already entered.
Your Care Circle and your account
Keep your private family link, your password and your PIN safe. The family decides who receives the Care Circle link and password, and is responsible for sharing them only with people they trust. Please give accurate information.
What you add
Notes, favourite dishes, recipe links and photos you add stay yours. You allow MealKind to store and show them to the people in your Care Circle so the service works. Only add content you have the right to share.
MealKind's content
The MealKind name and logo, the written recipes, descriptions and guidance, the meal plans, the design and the software belong to MealKind and are protected by copyright and trademark law.
You may use them for your own personal, non-commercial use: cooking, and sharing a recipe with the person you are cooking for. You may not:
- copy, republish or sell MealKind recipes, meal plans or guidance;
- copy the design, wording or software, or use them to build a similar product or service;
- collect content from MealKind automatically (scraping, bots or bulk downloading);
- use the MealKind name or logo in a way that suggests a connection that does not exist.
If you think something on MealKind infringes your rights, email hello@mealkind.com and we will look into it promptly.
Stores, links and other services
MealKind links to stores and services such as H-E-B, Walmart, Instacart, Amazon and GoFundMe. Your purchases and donations are with them, under their own terms and prices. MealKind may earn a small commission when you buy through some links, at no extra cost to you.
Premium subscriptions
Care Circles are free. If you choose a paid plan, the price and billing period are shown before you pay. Payments are handled securely by our payment provider; MealKind never sees your full card number. Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel. You can cancel at any time and keep access until the end of the period you paid for. If we change the price, we will tell you before it applies to you.
Fair use
Please use MealKind kindly and lawfully. Do not harass anyone, post harmful content, send spam, or try to break into or disrupt the service. We may remove content or close access to protect the people who use MealKind.
Limits on our responsibility
We work hard to keep MealKind accurate and available, but it is provided as it is, and we cannot promise it will always be error-free or uninterrupted. To the extent the law allows, MealKind is not responsible for indirect losses, for reactions to food prepared by others, or for the actions of stores and services we link to.
Changes and the law
We may update these terms. If the changes are important, we will tell you on the site. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, and disputes will be handled in Bexar County, Texas, unless the law where you live says otherwise.
